Haas Challenge 4 Charity (C4C): The MBA Challenge for Charity is a non-profit organization that draws on the talents, energy, and resources of MBA students from nine West Coast business schools to support Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Clubs, and other family-related local charities, to develop business leaders with a lifelong commitment to community involvement and social responsibility. Since 1996, C4C has contributed over $4.6 million for Special Olympics and other local charities, as well as donated tens of thousands of hours of community service.

C4C remains the World’s Largest MBA Non-Profit Organization. Haas C4C is one of the largest MBA organizations on campus and competes with other west coast MBA programs in raising money for charitable causes, serving the community and competing in a sports weekend. C4C culminates and is celebrated at the C4C Sports Weekend in April. Last year, Haas fared well, taking 1st place in the golf, trivia, ultimate frisbee and spelling bee competitions. 2nd and 3rd place finishers included co-ed soccer, squash, co-ed softball, dodgeball and co-ed football.

Alameda Point Collaborative (APC): APC is a unique neighborhood located on 34 acres of Alameda Point. At APC, we work to end homelessness by providing housing and services to create communities where formerly homeless families and individuals can flourish. APC is situated on the former Alameda Naval Air Station, and operates 239 housing units. APC provides affordable housing, job training, health services and employment in a community that fosters support and interaction. APC operates a community garden, bike shop, commercial plant nursery, health center and community center.
