Are you interested in learning about the value of items you own or learning about the auction business? The Haas Alumni Network Chapters of the East Bay, South Bay, North Bay and San Francisco cordially invite you to join us for a wine/food reception and preview evening on Thursday, May 12, at the Harvey Clars Auction Gallery in Oakland.

Harvey Clars Auction Gallery conducts monthly two-day estate auctions of 1,500 – 2,000 lots at its North Oakland location. Between 3,000 and 5,000 people attend the auctions and previews, with many thousands more viewing the lots online. The Gallery is now one of the largest auction houses in the Western United States and works with buyers and sellers throughout the United States and worldwide. The owner, Redge Martin, is a fellow Haas alumnus and was recently on the cover of CalBusiness magazine.

During this evening, the Clars’ appraisers will hold an appraisal clinic and will give estimates on two items per person. The appraisers have many years of experience evaluating fine property in a wide variety of fields—i.e., paintings, jewelry, silver, art glass, furniture, Asian art and collectibles, other decorative pieces. You will also have the opportunity to preview the entire auction gallery to see what treasures will be auctioned on Saturday, May 14, and Sunday, May 15, 2010. Come join us for a fun and fascinating evening.
