Legal and Financial Considerations for Preparing for Our Own Aging and the Aging of Our Family Members – October 4th, 2017
Joel Goldman, a senior partner with Hanson Bridgett, will lead an education session on issues related to aging. This session will provide guidance on how to best plan for your own aging and the aging of your family members and how to best minimize the potential for disagreements, disputes and hard feelings. Specific topics addressed in this session include Medicare, advance directives, durable power of attorney (DPOA), and conservatorships. Questions from participants will be encouraged.
Prior to Joel Goldman’s presentation, there will be brief presentations on the affiliation between the Belmont Village Albany community and the University of California at Berkeley as well as an overview of aging related resources at UC Berkeley.
The event will take place in the newly opened Belmont Village Albany community. Hors d’eouvres, beer, wine, and other drinks will be provided at the beginning of the event and dessert and beverages will be provided near the end of the event.
