Mauri Schwartz, President of Career Insiders and Haas MBA ’85, will share the nuanced components of effective networking, answering these questions and many others.

Parking is available just east of the building (towards downtown Lafayette).
The Lafayette BART Station is about 7/10th of a mile (to the East) from the Veteran’s Bldg.

In this inspiring and informative presentation, you will learn how to incorporate technological tools like LinkedIn to develop and cultivate a professional network. You will discover how to shape your online profiles to reflect your career objectives. You will learn about the personal touches that will set you apart from other job seekers. And you will gain the important skills to communicate with warmth and to personalize your messages in order to get what you want.

About our Guest Speaker – Mauri Schwartz
Mauri Schwartz, President of Career Insiders, is a leading figure in the San Francisco Bay Area career management community. Working with companies that need outplacement and talent acquisition services as well as with individual job seekers, she has an outstanding success rate in helping clients achieve their career goals.

Mauri is an Adjunct Advisor of Career Services at Haas and is a frequent speaker at professional conferences, job fairs, and student career panels. Mauri has a rare combination among career consultants – highly technical experience with an MBA education. Having held many of the technical positions of her clients, she knows exactly how to help them be successful in making their next career moves. With her wide range of business expertise, she is able to assist executives in diverse industries to advance their careers.

Mauri’s motivational style uses techniques that combine old fashioned interpersonal relationship skills with the latest technological tools. She is a professional “people person” with the ability to engage an audience and build a relationship. Her talents lie in her attention to the details of every aspect of the relationship.

Prior to Career Insiders, she recruited and established recruitment departments for a diverse client base, ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies in financial services, biotechnology, software, consulting, and other industries. Previously, Mauri enjoyed a successful high tech career with such companies as IBM and McKesson. In addition to her Haas MBA, Mauri has a BS degree in Mathematics from Tulane University.
